Types of Apple Watch straps
Apple Watch straps and bands are available in different materials, each with its own appearance, feel, weight and care requirements.

What size Apple Watch strap do I need?
Check the case size of your Apple Watch rather than your wrist size. The case size is engraved on the back of the watch and is shown in millimetres, for example 40mm, 41mm, 45mm or 49mm.
Finding the correct strap does not need to be complicated. Check the number on the back of your Apple Watch and select the corresponding compatibility option on the product page.

Choose your Apple Watch strap compatibility
To make sizing easier, our Apple Watch straps are divided into two main compatibility groups:
38 – 40 – 41 – 42mm (Series 10/11)
44 – 45 – 46 – 49mm (Ultra)
Always check the case size engraved on the back of your Apple Watch and select the corresponding option before placing your order.
Important for 42mm Apple Watch models: the 42mm option in the first group refers to Apple Watch Series 10 and Series 11. If you have an older 42mm Apple Watch, check the compatibility information on the product page or contact us before ordering.
How do I know which Apple Watch I have?
For choosing a strap, checking the case size engraved on the back of the Apple Watch is usually enough. If you also want to identify the exact model or generation, you can find its model number using your iPhone.
- Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
- Go to My Watch.
- Open General > About.
- Find Model Number.
- Tap the model number to display the code beginning with “A”.
This model number can help you identify your Apple Watch more precisely if you are unsure which strap compatibility option to choose.
How to choose an Apple Watch strap
The best Apple Watch strap depends on your personal style and how you use your watch. Leather and metal finishes create a more classic or refined appearance, while lightweight and flexible materials can be particularly practical for everyday wear. For sport and active use, materials that are easy to clean and suited to moisture are often a more practical choice.
You can also use several straps with the same Apple Watch and switch between them depending on the occasion, your outfit, the color of your watch or the activity.
How to change an Apple Watch strap
Changing an Apple Watch strap is quick and does not require tools. Place the watch face down on a clean, soft surface, press and hold the band release button on the back of the watch and slide the current strap sideways to remove it.
Slide the new strap into the corresponding slot until it is securely attached. Before wearing your Apple Watch, gently check that both sides are properly locked in place.
